Playcall
Playcall works without knowing who you are. There is no account to make, no email to give, and no password to forget.
A random identifier your device generates the first time you open the app — or, if you are playing in a browser, one this site generates and stores in a cookie. It is not linked to your name, your email, or your phone. It is how your answers stay yours between innings.
Your actual location never leaves your device. If you allow location access, the app works out on the phone itself whether you are at the ground, in the same city, or somewhere else, and sends only that one word. Your coordinates are not transmitted and are not stored.
Location is always optional. Declining it costs you the at-venue bonus and nothing else — you can play every break either way.
We do not ask your age or your date of birth, anywhere, ever. That is deliberate rather than an oversight: not collecting it is what keeps this a service that does not profile anybody. Age is established once, at the single moment it matters — if you ever claim a prize.
If you win one, we will need a way to send it and a way to confirm you are old enough to receive it. That is the only point at which Playcall asks for anything that identifies you, and it is entirely up to you whether to go through with it. Declining means not claiming that prize; it does not affect playing.
We don't sell this data — not to anyone. No advertising networks, no data brokers, no analytics products that take a copy. The people who see your answers are the people on the boards you are on: your crew, and everyone playing the same game.
Deleting the app or clearing your browser data ends the connection between you and this identifier. If you want the records themselves removed, write to us and say so — you will need to be able to show the identifier, since by design we have no other way to know which rows are yours.
